Abstract:
Every Latino child should start school with a solid foundation in reading. This compendium of papers authored by leading scholars and practitioners in the field of early childhood education and literacy explores the importance of increasing early literacy opportunities in the Latino community. This work calls parents, early childhood educators, and community advocates to engage more deeply in a national dialogue that promotes reading and language development among Latino children.
