Abstract:
In a time of increasing needs and fewer dollars, the failure of community priority setting programs and the ineffective use of across-the-board cuts in allocations require that Jewish communities engage in downsizing through agency mergers, consolidations, and acquisitions. Downsizing can only be achieved by convening a Leadership Kehilla Council that will secure the commitment of the entire community to a new vision of service delivery unfettered by tradition or ownership.
