Abstract:
Reviews the existing options to help laid-off workers in Washington keep their health insurance. After determining they are inadequate, and leave most working families vulnerable to slipping into poverty, it details the benefits of providing coverage to laid-off workers in the form of the Basic Health Plan, which could provide a solid and affordable package of benefits to working families.
