Abstract:
The author offers his critical examination of Project Renewal, a network of 160 neighborhoods in Israel, whose goal it is to encourage maximum participation of residents in meeting their own needs. The author argues that the project is an enormous "turn-on". It will help contributors develop a further stake in Israel and will result in a strengthening of the basic campaign. He holds that Project Renewal represents the people-to-people Jewish connection and that it is an opportunity and not a problem.
