Abstract:
The author argues that if the function of settlements is toward preparation of Jewish immigrants and their children for participation in the best that is America, there should be no such thing as a Jewish settlements. Settlements ought to be different than Jewish social centers and religious organizations, non-religious and non-sectarian.
