Abstract:
The author looks at the current state of Jewish camping through a review of information provided by over ninety day and resident camps. He sees the camping movement as the heirs of a long tradition involving the operation and control of thousands of acres of land, millions of dollars worth of buildings, facilities and equipment; furthermore, he states that we are the guardians of that heritage which provides one means through which the Jewish community can be strengthened and be assured a continuity of generations.
