Abstract:
The author reviews economic worries faced by the Jewish communal sector due to high inflation, and suggests measures to respond, including improving fundraising campaigns, seeking government funds where appropriate, and merging functions where possible to minimize waste. He further recommends "modified budgeting" in which programs are classified as high or low priority ahead of time so that economic shortfalls will not cause service disarray.
