Abstract:
The authors compare the findings of their study on spirituality among Jews to a national multi-religious study on American spirituality. They find that American Jews have not traditionally been very spiritual. But as Jewish demographics shift, so does the community's relationship to spirituality. The authors offer implications of this shift for congregational and educational policy, and community life in general.
