This study is a compendium of facts on Florida's housing, highlighting the tremendous diversity in housing characteristics across the state. The study first describes and analyzes the characteristics of Florida's housing stock using county property appriaser tax rolls, presenting the findings both geographically and by building type (single-family housing, condominium, and multi-family housing). It goes on to examine the issue of housing affordability and provides a comparison of properites that claim the homestead exemption and those that do not. Next, housing supply and sales prices are examined for each metropolitan statistical area and the found non-metropolitan areas, before concluding with an analysis of the economic impact of new reisdential construction in Florida in 2005.
