Abstract:
This article examines the epidemic of elder abuse in the United States from a general as well as a Jewish context. It focuses on different community responses, primarily looking at the nation's first comprehensive shelter for victims of elder abuse. The article also provides practical information for creating community-based programs, whether for victim assistance or for elder abuse professionals.
